In the wake of recent international events, the world is in desperate need of hope -- hope, healing and restoration. In 2 Chronicles 7:14-15a, the Lord reveals to us the path to hope as well as to healing and restoration.

He promises, "Then if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to every prayer made in this place."

In accordance with these verses, hope is spelled:

                                                      H umility

                                                      O bedience

                                                      P rayer

                                                      E pectation

Humility - we must bow before the Lord, acknowledging our total dependance upon Him as well as admitting our failures and need

                for forgiveness.

Obedience - We must love as God loves and hate what He hates -- reflected by our obedience to His Word.

Prayer - We must pray, seeking His face first of all.

Expectation - Prayer without expectation from our Good God is worthless. We must believe that He is and that He is rewarder of those who

                      seek Him.

THEN -- He will hear from Heaven, heal our land and bring revival that is marked by HOPE.

"Lord, help us to be a people marked by hope. In the powerful name of Jesus, amen."
